VLOC Systems and Orange strengthen their working relationship and agree a strategic partnership

VLOC has chosen Orange as the communication provider for their telematic based solution. The Orange network will be used to transfer live data collected from a vehicle to the VLOC Hub. In addition, Orange will be offering our data services as part of their partnership programme and working with VLOC to develop business partner strategies, including a Young Drivers Scheme.

VLOC Systems is delighted to announce that Dave Peffer has joined the company as Programme Director

In an impressive career that spans nearly 30 years, Dave has held a number high profile positions in companies including Ernst & Young and IBM. Most notably he was Group IT Director of Aviva until 2005 after joining General Accident in 1996 and progressing with the company through all of its merger activity. As Programme Director he will be responsible for continuing to build a team that will work with VLOC’s clients to establish business cases, system frameworks and the programme delivery process.

Commenting on his appointment, Simon Andrews (VLOC’s Chief Executive) said “We are delighted that Dave has decided to join the team. His track record and experience will be a huge asset as implementation approach is a key factor in delivering sucessful telematic installations."

VLOC Systems secures venture capital investment from Gordon Crawford and the Horizon Innovation fund

Following a comprehensive due diligence exercise, the technology entrepreneur Gordon Crawford has decided to invest venture capital into VLOC Systems Limited, through the recently formed Horizon Innovation fund. The investment will be used for on-going product development and to establish an infrastructure for the UK launch of the VLOC solution.

Horizon Innovation specialises in investing and working in partnership with companies that have proven technology that is applied to innovative business applications. VLOC’s leading market solution with its convincing return on investment was considered an ideal fit to Horizon’s investment profile.The fund was established by Gordon Crawford and Jon Lee (who worked together at London Bridge Software plc) and both have extensive experience in running public and private firms providing technology solutions.

Having spent six months working with VLOC to prepare the company for investment and helping to secure the funding, Richard King joins VLOC Systems as Chief Operating Officer. He will take responsibility for sales, marketing and implementation services.
